Collecting a cancellation fee (or not) for a booking with no deposit

Mobile22 can configure your account to charge a cancellation fee given certain parameters. The cancellation fee works separately from the deposit feature in Mobile22. If a deposit was collected for the ride, then the deposit refund parameters would be considered.

Cancellation fees are only applicable to rides where no deposit was collected.
It is also only possible to charge a cancellation fee for a ride with a credit card attached to the booking or on file in the customer's account. 


Some example parameters:

If the rider cancelled less than 1 hour before pick up time, the rider can be charged a $5 cancellation fee to the credit card associated with the booking. 
If the rider cancels with more than 1 hour notice, no cancellation fee could be charged. 

When cancelling a ride in Mobile22 Call Center, you'll be presented with a pop up module with a drop down menu and an editable number field. The system defaults to rider cancelled and calculates the fee according to your parameters. The user is able to override the value to a different cancellation fee if desired. When the user selects "Cancel Ride" the rider's credit card associated with the booking will be charged the fee listed in the FEE box. 



The user can also override the cancellation reason to be "provider cancelled" which defaults to $0.00 cancellation fee. This could be used in instances where the provider cannot provide the ride and they do not want to charge a cancellation fee.
